Where does the revenue from timber sales go? Click Here. Please use caution if you encounter a logging operation while in Capitol Forest. Roads and trails in areas with logging activity should be signed - but you never know. Please respect these areas and notices for your safety and the safety of those working. Also with the potential increase in logging activity expect to see more log trucks. Please drive and ride with caution around and yield to log trucks. Some roads in active logging areas may be re- opened on weekends. Logging activity may or may not occur on weekends. Roads and trails are required to be restored after logging is completed by the logging contractor. 2010 Capitol Forest sold and planned sales logging map with trails. Bicycle riders were seen in a closed logging area that was clearly marked closed. Pass the word to stay out of closed areas. July 1 Update Beginning the week of July 19, and lasting about 1 week, expect short periodic delays during two culvert repair projects. This is a segment of the C- Line between the C-5000 and C-6000. Most of the construction activity will occur inside the culverts. However, rock off-loading and equipment mobilization may cause short road closures at each site. Repair work will also occur on weekends. Please make plans to avoid or limit these areas during the week of July 19th, and please pass on this information to people that might be affected.
